And I was scared to end highschool cause I thought it was an end to the best years of my life.

This summer has been so incredibly awesome.
I am happy with pretty much everything that is going on in my life right now and it feels great!
Even when something not-so-great happens that would normally put me in a permanently bad mood, I quickly move on cause I've got so much good working on my side.

Closer creates a gap.

Afraid to get near, retreating from the fear of quickly becoming distant.
Ironic.
Afraid to get close because you think it will cause distance?
Funny how our minds behave.

I tried pressing some flowers that I found while camping and really liked, but not a single one of them looked good afterwards. Just goes to show that the best things in life can not be captured, you just have to marvel in the moment.

I'm so full of "I don't know"s and "I wish I could"s right now that I'm honestly going to go crazy.

I used to have a horrible habit of biting my nails. I figured I finally broke it. I realize now that it was just the first time in my life when I didn't have something pressing on my mind. I bit a nail yesterday and today I bit three. And la-dee-da, I have many new things to carry on my shoulders.

Shutter bug

This little guy was quite the model. I took 68 pictures of him and moved him around before it started raining, then he took off. Here are some of my favorites.

So long Scotty!

My mother is a miracle worker and successfully removed the authentic permanent marker signature of "Scott" from my favorite pair of jeans!
Tip for all safe grad go-ers: watch for randoms that like to sign pants instead of the provided white shirts!

I need to turn 18 more often!!

Ok so pretty much the best day of my life took place last night and somewhat into the wee hours of today. It's called an 18th birthday. If you haven't already experienced this magic then I strongly suggest you give it a go sometime. It really is all it's cracked up to be. I think next year I'm going to turn 18 too, and possibly the year after that as well.

A few things I've learned since being 18:
1) I have some kick-ass friends that I will never ever ever forget. Ever.
2) Limo's are the greatest mode of transportation ever invented. Sorry cammels.
3) Muff dives with a recently operated on mouth suck.
4) Four grown teenagers can fit comfortably into one double bed.
5) You get weird looks when you stumble into a convenient store with two left, very missmatch shoes on.
